Review

The book, Catching Fire, takes off when Katniss Everdeen, one of the victors of the 74th Hunger Games, comes back home to District 12. She thought that winning the Games were equivalent to fame and fortune, but it's seems that it only leads to fear. Now she is forced to go on the Victory Tour in the districts to calm them from making an uprising, which she and Peeta have created...
After the Victory Tour, President Snow announced the 75th Hunger Games, The Third Quarter Quell, where the tributes will be reaped from the existing pool of victors.

Catching Fire, the sequel to The Hunger Games, has sold over 350 000 copies and the author who made the series is Suzanne Collins. The series are mostly for those who are young adults, but of course everyone can read it. The book is filled with adventure, action, romance and has lots of cliffhangers that makes us chock to death.

The Main Character

In the book which I'm reading, the main character is called Katniss Everdeen. She is a 17-year-old girl, who lives in a place called District 12 with her mother and sister. She has recently won The 74th Hunger Games, with her fellow lover, Peeta Mellark, and now they are about to do the victory tour between the other districts. Katniss has a excellent skill in archery and it is because she has got taught by her father, who is to be dead now. Ever since her father died, her mother went into depression and she took the role as the family provider, in order to do that she goes beyond District 12, which is not allowed, and go hunt with her long-time friend Gale.

In the last book, The Hunger Games, the author gives us some hints about Gale who has feelings for her, but he got hurt afterwards when Peeta and Katniss had confess their love to the Capitol. After The Games, Katniss thought that after she returned to District 12, she would try to forget want happened in The Games and that she thought that everything would go back to normal, which it didn't...
